Porreca Design & Build offers comprehensive architectural design services, from concept to final construction documents.  We have the tools, expertise and imagination to bring the homeowners vision to reality.  We’ll begin with an in-person consultation, work through a questionnaire of homeowner needs and desires, and a visit the building site to begin the process of designing your home.

Conversion of New England Barns into State-of–the-Art Residences

Converting New England Barns into state-of-the-art homes has become one of our specialties.  We have relocated barns to new sites and have also restored and converted barns on the land where they were originally built.  Our technique and process of converting barns is unique.  We strive to maintain the interior character of these one of a kind hand-made buildings, while enveloping the structure in a super insulated, efficiently heated shell that can withstand the harsh New England winter climate.  We have a limited inventory of barns, and in some cases a barn may be still standing so one can see and walk through these old buildings before the restoration or conversion work begins.  If what you want is not in our inventory we may be able to locate one for you.  If one wants to live in an antique building, but have all the modern features of a new home, this option is worth considering.
